So, we had to nationalise British Steel in order to ensure that we are not dependent on imports of virgin steel to keep our other industries running.
What about also nationalising COAL so that we are not dependent on coal imports to keep our national steel factory's blast furnace running?

Trump's tariffs are much more dangerous that appears on the surface. Countries that export steel to US won't be able to sell it and so will be looking to dump their goods at cut-price to other countries. Those other counties will be forced to protect their own industry, and so on it will go...

On a whim, I decided to have a go at growing #bonsai. I've begun by buying 5 x Oak seedlings from eBay. Got to start somewhere. Additionally, I've managed to buy a number of Wisteria seeds and beech tree seeds. Watch this space.

Time for the annual cutting back of the #allotment #asparagus ferns. It's so much easier if you wait until they completely die back and go brown - then you can cut them down with hedge shears rather than secateurs.
