CT scan today. Flat on my back, watching two little heads on the screen—one for breathing, one for holding it. Not moving; just one set lit at a time. Pac-Man without chase. Breathe. Hold. Breathe. Hold. The machine hummed. I thought about high scores and kidneys. I hope they’ve cleared the stones.
