Earlier this fall, I left my fulltime airline news reporting job to take a bit of a break after hitting some major burnout.

Now, I'm back on the beat, but I'm taking a different approach to work and cobbling together a dynamic career involving two very different jobs in two very different fields.

"Such strong staffing levels suggest a further ramp up in-flight reductions are not necessary to keep the traveling public safe."

I swear, the deliberate malicious misinterpretation of literature and media basically comes down to “durr in that book the dark shadowlands were evil and the sunshine was good so let’s ignore literally everything else ban all brown immigrants.” The right-wing misuse of Tolkien is beyond vile.

Thinking about this as the new My Chemical Romance tour goes on sale, priced in the hundreds for the farthest away sections. Ticketmaster/Live Nation are pricing the middle class out of concerts.
“The economics of appealing to the middle class aren’t what they used to be. The market, and increasingly the culture, is dominated by the affluent. And technology is enabling companies to see these previously invisible class divides and act on them.”

In January, Delta CEO Ed Bastian said that the Trump admin’s regulatory approach could be a “breath of fresh air.” I wonder how he feels today as Trump’s DOT moves to shut down Delta’s joint venture with Aeromexico.

Minneapolis children revealed courage, absorbed fear during church shooting
A 10-year-old acted like a human shield to protect a younger schoolmate. An eighth-grader prayed while hiding under a pew. A frightened 11-year-old asked her father to lock the doors and draw the curtains when she arrived home.

The first comment was “and then you wonder why we liked cargo shorts.”
