Where were those film shorts available in the UK? Mail order mostly, or brick retail? I had one or two (can only with confidence recall "Varan the Unbelievable") whose ultimate disposition is now unknown, but don't remember where I got it/them (not "It" or "Them").
Very fond childhood memories of this archetypal creature-feature, which doesn't seem to get as much love anymore. Stephen King even claimed (in "Danse Macabre") that "TONKA" is visible on the underside of an overturned truck -- although no one's ever shared such a still photo (that I could find).
