sort of incredible to read a review that doesn't just made a vague nod at AI being bad, but actively reckons with the ways in which falling obsessively to AI usage actively obliterates the artistic intent and integrity of the work you've made.

I hate the 'this genAI is ethical because the voice actors agreed to have their voices fed into the database' argument, as if newcomers trying to get into an industry that's both super competitive AND criminally underpaid aren't going to be pressured into exploitative contracts by big studios

Tried a bit of Arc Raiders, it's fun enough but it just reminds me even more how much of an artificial genre extraction games are
because they only work as long as people are stupid and bloodthirsty; resources aren't finite, if everyone worked together, everyone would actually come out ahead

I don't envy the devs making that new classic style HoMM game, if they mess up they won't have to deal with boring Americans who'll give up on their rage after a week, instead they'll have the entire country of Poland and half of Russia on their ass for the next 17 years
