“Our conscience must catch up to our reason—otherwise we are lost.”
—Václav Havel, The Art of the Impossible
“He’s the first person I’ve ever known that works harder than I do. He runs around that golf course.” Methinks Sen. Marshall (a) doesn’t know a lot of people and (b) doesn’t work very hard.
Sen. Roger Marshall on Trump's health: "I'll work 110 hours a week. He outworks me. He's the first person I've ever known that works harder than I do. He runs around that golf course. He's in incredible shape right now. And you talk about sharp! He's playing 4 dimensional chess"

I’m exponentially more offended by bludgeon-policy-making via a tier-4-ish social media platform than I am by the longstanding bureaucratic efficiency of autopens. Let alone the grotesque dehumanization and attack on human rights generally and constitutional guarantees specifically on display here.
I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden’s Autopen, and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable

Not a good sentence for many reasons. “US stock futures wobbled Tuesday, struggling to build on a broad tech-led rebound fueled by growing optimism that the Federal Reserve will deliver a rate cut next month as delayed economic data provided glimpses into consumer spending and price pressures.”
Stock market today: Dow, S&P 500, Nasdaq futures wobble with retail sales, inflation data in focus
Markets are muted after a strong start to the week as investors take stock of a Fed-fueled rebound.

Public man-made death. The president, the government, the country needs to repent for condemning more than half a million people to death in less than one year.

I thought this was just an obnoxious meme but he actually did hang this in the White House which is so extraordinarily childish and I am now actively searching for wormholes into alternate universes where people like this have never been made president.
Trump's latest petty stunt: Snubs Biden with an autopen photo in the White House portrait collection, mocking his "mental fitness" while ignoring decades of presidential tradition. This isn't leadership—it's a toddler's tantrum in gold leaf. #PettyPOTUS #TrumpTantrum

Please don't embarrass our guest by pointing out that he sanctioned the extrajudicial and barbaric killing of a US based journalist. Be polite and indulge our guest in pretending that the journalist was a bad person who deserved his barbaric execution.
“Things happen.”

Jamal Khashoggi was a journalist and Washington Post columnist who was literally murdered and dismembered by agents of the Saudi government inside a Saudi consulate.

Shameful. So shameful.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

Boston University’s death tracker seemed to have stopped tracking five months into the Trump administration but by end of June it was over 120k adults and over 250k children. That doesn’t include boats he’s blown up in international waters.
