The hypocrisy from the right supporting both this and now defending the murder of two US citizens by the ICE Gestapo is sickening.

We saw the murder of Renee Good by the ICE officer on video. I wonder how many others have been killed by ICE, but without being recorded?

No reasonable person can watch the shooting of Renee Good and say it was justified. Political beliefs should be irrelevant to recognizing the truth, but seeing Trump/MAGA supporters defend it highlights the serious situation we are in. Many U.S. citizens are, to put it bluntly, horrible people.

Trump doesn’t understand the concept of insurance — it works by having the premiums from healthy people being enough to cover the medical expenses of sick people. The health insurance system needs to be reformed, but Trump is too incompetent to fix it.

The people carrying out the bombings are potentially liable. If a cop is ordered to shoot an unarmed prisoner, following orders is not a valid defense. It was murder. So is this. But perhaps immunity can be given for testifying against the truly guilty — those who gave the illegal orders.

Just another example of how far our country has fallen under the horrific Trump regime, where murder and racism is celebrated by those in power and by members of the MAGA cult.

They really are going all in on the Brownshirts analogy, aren’t they? I guess, if the “shirt” fits, wear it.

As an American, I do too! OK, it’s not the same as 1930’s Germany, but the analogy is there.

This is the playbook, folks.

If you're not paying attention now and doing something about it, then you're going to have to sit down the rest of your life because democracy is being taken away.

Do not be quiet in this moment.

It’s no wonder they wear masks. They should be ashamed for what they are doing.

The more I read U.S. history (including about the Civil War and the Jim Crow era) the more I realize MAGA is the resurrection of the anti-slavery, anti-Civil Rights South. That’s the country they want to return to.

A key problem is the inherent conflict of interest of having for-profit insurance companies making coverage decisions, when their allegiance is owed to shareholders, not the patients. And under ERISA, despite being. “Fiduciaries,” they can’t be sued for damages for bad faith denials.

I was 15 and on a family vacation from Kansas in Washington DC! I was obsessed with Watergate, which created my fascination with politics (and the free press).

AI is not inherently good or bad; it is a tool that can be used for good or bad . Health insurance companies can use AI to deny claims based on restrictive internal guidelines, which can hurt patients. But AI can also be used to facilitate challenges to improper denials, thereby helping patients.

Trump enacts this betrayal, while only allowing immigration for white South Africans, based on misleading and deceptive claims.
The Trump administration’s move to end deportation protections for wartime allies who fled to the U.S. after the fall of Afghanistan has infuriated veterans, who say the U.S. government is betraying a sacred promise.
Veterans recoil at Trump plan to end Afghans’ deportation protection
The Trump administration claims conditions in Afghanistan have markedly improved under Taliban rule. Those who fought in the war say that’s ‘laughable.’

True, but still a very luck shot that allowed them to win the game!

I sent this to my two Knick-fan sons and my Celtics-fan brother in the 1st half of today’s game. I thought I was kidding, but realized after-the-fact that I was actually serious! ——- “Good strategy by the Knicks to get down by 20 so they can do their comeback.”

The Pacers shot 7-7 3s in the 4Q of game 1 (including the last ridiculously lucky one). If they shot 6-7, Knicks win.

Trump apparently really believes that the picture showed that Garcia had M-S-1-3 on his fingers. Yet, any normal person could tell that was added to the picture by MAGA to “interpret” the tattoos. I just wish Terry Moran would have been clear in his response on why Trump was wrong.

So true!
I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period

This is the point. No one with an ounce of integrity or morality would oppose the return to the US of a man mistakenly sent to a brutal prison in El Salvador. And the lack of due process is all you should need for the legal argument (which applies to everyone else as well). We all should protest.
Forget about the legal case.

A man was wrongly deported and placed in a notorious prison with leaders of a gang out to get him.

Anyone with an ounce of basic human decency would fix the mistake and return that man to the United States
