Watching the Beatles Anthology it struck me what a weird TV host Ed Sullivan was: stiff, sweaty, ill at ease, seemingly charmless. So much worse than his UK counterpart, Bruce Forsyth. Would he be remembered if not for the Beatles appearances? #TheBeatles
