I keep getting ads for Landman. Is that his name or is he a man who likes land?

Today I learned that Paul McCartney directed a short documentary about the Grateful Dead.

moe. played a Cassidy last night. Thanks to our tapers for their hard work and quick turnaround.

While thinking more on the subject, this might have been the coldest show I’ve ever been to.

For decades, I’ve claimed that Phish 12/07/1995 was the coldest I’ve ever been. Tomorrow night, moe. at Higher Ground is supposed to -20 to -30, depending on wind. What sucks is that Higher Ground makes you line up outside for a hard search to get in, longer it takes to get frostbite.

I just learned that Phish is releasing a box set around my first NYE. I haven’t bought anything Phish in a while but this was a big show for me at the time.

Listening to moe. 10/14/2000 on Archive. I know for fact there was a show the night before at the same place (Fillmore) because it was a 2-night gig and also because I was there. But, no record. No recording. History is what doesn’t slip between the gaps.

If anybody’s looking for me tonight, you’ll find me watching Catherine O’Hara and friends.

I’m just going to have to remind myself it only feels like -21. Nonetheless, I predict that recess will be indoors today. Too bad. With all the snow we got Monday, the sledding during recess has been pretty epic. The kids built some big jumps, but the deep powder makes the landing really soft.

IMDb categories this movie as a “high-concept comedy”

Got about a foot of snow outside. More is coming. I really should go out and shovel now, but I’m cozy inside.

New remaster of an old moe. show, including covers of songs by Tori Amos, Steely Dan, and Aerosmith. There’s also an instrumental bluegrass tune called “None Such River” that don’t recognize. As I said yesterday, I don’t like Steely Dan, but musicians I like really like Steely Dan.

I’d love to see Medeski Martin and Wood again. Currently, my choices are cruise ship or Korea. I’m hoping these dates might signal a willingness to play some shows that aren’t completely out of the question for me.

Medeski Martin and Wood with a 25-piece orchestra from 1997. This is some good stuff.

I was lucky to catch Bobby with moe. back in 2003. Jack Straw, Cassidy, Playin’, Saturday Night. The second set is pretty good, too.
