I just heard Soyogi Soyogi’s English talk voicebank for the first time, after only being tangentially aware of it ( I hadn’t thought it’d come out yet tbh ).

Trying to get stuff done, and both of my dogs are aggressively trying to cuddle with me. Like, they keep trying to walk on all my stuff and getting frustrated bc I have stuff in the way. I’ve never seen them want to snuggle this badly.

I was actually talking about this to an acquaintance earlier today, but I can never seem to do a personal project without achieving roughly what I envision. Either I get a satisfactory end result, or I ̶d̶i̶e̶ ̶ burn myself out trying. agagsgagafadd
It would be a lot easier if I just recorded normal VCV like a normal person, BUT NOOOO, I have to add sounds like “dz”, “dj”, and trilled “r”s + a bunch of needless palatalized variants of consonants, and specific samples for sokuon, bc if my vbs aren’t extra then I will simply burst into flames

This might be a bit of a hot-take, but I kind of wish that people would stop recommending C+V English as an "easy" alternative to making English voicebanks.
Bc, yes, it is "easy", but it also has a very specific artificial-sounding output that isn't necessarily always conducive to clear English
