A thing I've been thinking a lot about that I don't have proper words for:
For a lot of marginalized people, joy is a way to literally survive.
A lot of marginalized people want to be allies to other marginalized people.
We sometimes make joy inappropriate for allies who have privilege we don't.

We've already seen this happen multiple times over. It isn't an "if," it's a "when." We saw it with LiveJournal (Strikethrough), we saw it with the Tumble "porn ban," and while it might not have been as intentionally targeted, it was also one of the casualties of deleting all Yahoo Groups.
