My three drawings of three great bands at Open Gate hosted by Scribble. First up was the Present Quartet, playing Anthony Braxton in celebration of his 80th birthday, then came Rosenboom's Quartet. Lastly You, Me and the Whales played
Caught a fantastic night of music featuring, Rosenboom, White, Mohler, and Baltazar. This is a hot shit band. A friend asked, "How do you describe the music?" That question is probably the best description of this group's music. Check 'em out every second Wednesday at the Vine in LB.

I've been scanning and laying out drawings from my live music sketchbook. I'm planning an 11x11 inch book. Not sure about binding or how many pages this will be. Gotta ways to go. These are looking pretty nice, I gotta say.
Saw Scott Heustis' group at yhe Vine. The core players were Breeze Smith, Rebecca Lynn, and Matt Piper. They also swapped in Ben Rosenbloom, who brought an avant-garde piano sound probably never heard in that room. Eric Barber sat in on the last set. Here are my loosie goosie drawings.
