Marketing is a joint effort that requires space for creativity and active collaboration with folks working hands-on with the game. When studios bake marketing needs into their development timeline early, everyone wins - and the game has the best chance at standing out.

You can have the best marketing folks in the world. If the rest of the team doesn't prioritize and scope in time for key marketing assets like trailers, demos, screenshots, etc.? You are setting up not just the marketing team for failure, but also the game itself.
