I'm simply bewildered by this phenomenon... The only possibilities are an incredibly small margin of error on behalf of ASCAP OR someone is a huge fan of the XX OST

Either way, I earned around $7 USD in royalties from it 😳

Trying to wrap my head around this situation...

On 7/14 of this year, ASCAP reported that my song "Lucid" had nearly 20k plays from an unknown source located in the US

I have NO idea how this is even possible. "Lucid" was written as an original in 2022 for Project XX: STARLiGHT, a DDR fan-project

i miss the era of when we could actually "own" stuff. we were much more compelled to listen to albums, watch movies, finish games, when we actually owned them, as opposed to when we're given an infinite supply

Takes me even longer now considering the fact that I haven't released an ALBUM since 2011 (unless we count my experimental side project lol)

But yeah, I've learned that patience is a virtue and you don't always need to crank out new music to appease the masses

Secondly, I've talked to several people within the scene who were able to provide evidence that Sabrepulse utilized Suno AI for the creation of his latest releases

Fakebit Meridian and Third Crush were 98% positive matches according to SubmitHub

Really disappointing to see Sabrepulse using AI to create their latest albums.

His statement says otherwise.. but I typed "Math Rock Chiptune" into Suno AI and the results sound the same to me.. especially the drums and leads sound identical.

I'm the guy who started this, and I'm glad Shirobon was able to expose Ash for using GenAI to trick his fans into shelling out hundreds of pounds for it

It's unethical and frankly embarrassing to his peers
