This won’t be quite like any expo you’ve attended before. We’re tripling-down on being THE indie friendly event.

Here’s how…
We’re going to fill this room with chairs and host intimate gamedev talks at #DGF26 in April

Let me know if you want to do one!

These could be a game changer for showcasing at expos
welcome back my childhood Amiga
Also neat at CES: HP’s battery-powered PC built into a keyboard. Sort of a screenless laptop.

An important first step to our print magazine existing independently from "the internet"

Thank you, The Gaming Newsagents!

Let’s take back control from the almighty algorithm…

We choose every game by hand, playing them first and backing what deserves attention

Sometimes that means big names. More often it means the smallest, strangest, most niche projects you’ve never heard of

All chosen by real humans who care!

Please share if you can. Nick was such a huge part of the mag.
Nik’s funeral is taking place on 30th December at 1pm GMT. For those that can’t attend, the funeral will be live-streamed. We have tried to contact as many of Nik’s friends as we could, but we may have missed some. The link is watch.obitus.com username: cuma6886 pin:962499

Follow everyone on this list and make 2026 the year human voices - not algorithms - speak for our beautiful medium again.
2025 was brutal for games media, but I'm seeing some glimmers of hope as worker-owned sites like @aftermath.site, @rascal.news, and @giantbomb.bsky.social have carved out vital spaces in the games community.

Earlier this year, I made a huge Indie Games Media starter pack for y'all. Let's celebrate.

A fun challenge for the C devs among us?
I have been trying to implement GJK/EPA collision detection in C for two weeks now. GJK works, but my EPA code is screwing up the polytope faces and I can't see the bug!

Code is here if anyone fancies a bug spotting challenge: gitlab.com/Kazade/picop...

Question for folks in the USA…

How much would you expect to pay for domestic shipping of a 1 lb book?

Not from Amazon, but from an independent retailer.

📬 I like reading indie books. I like playing indie games. So when I saw @debugmag.com “the indie games magazine” on 🦋 I thought I’d order some printed issues to try.

I also decided to start at the beginning, because that’s how I roll.

And look what arrived in my mail today 😍
