I am taking a break from writing for a little bit, even though one project has about 31k. Good start, nearly at the halfway point. I am just wiped after The Rattle of Bones, honestly. A lot of bad shit happened during it(many friend deaths) so it was cathartic for me to work on. #writing

I'm too succinct. I struggle with detail, and kneecap myself sometimes thinking stuff is gratuitous when it usually isn't lol. I used to be wordy, but had a bad run in with some people in the fanfic community who said I added too much detail. Was in that space for a decade and had to retrain myself.

When I “finished” my book, I saw the word count and was like “This is too short” and added 30k more words 😭 the book is better. Editing is hard.
