Congresswoman for CO's 1st District. Lifelong Denverite. Proud mom. Running to expand abortion access, environmental justice and opportunity in our community.
Your Democratic delegation from Colorado is demanding answers! These intimidation tactics are unacceptable and dangerous. They will not be tolerated in our state or country.

Last night, I cast my YES vote on a resolution to curb the Trump administration’s war powers in Venezuela — but the measure fell short in a 215–215 tie. Every House Dem showed up and voted YES. Democrats are doing the work to hold this administration accountable. We must keep raising our voices!

Wonderful to join thousands of my fellow Denverites at the 40th annual MLK Marade.

All of us together must continue our fight for a more just and compassionate future, especially at this moment.

This is why we never stop fighting! The courts agreed that this action is illegal.

In Colorado, the frozen funds amount to more than $300 million meant to help with child care, social services and low-income families.

This reckless change by RFK Jr, Trump and their hand picked anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorists is gambling with the lives and health of all Americans. We should not allow decades of evidence based decisions to be abandoned.

Jeanette Vizguerra’s detention is an example of the Trump administration’s bigoted immigration policy. While they claim to be going after the worst criminals, instead they are going after moms and advocates in our community like Jeanette. I'm happy to see Jeanette is going to be with her family.
Activist Jeanette Vizguerra granted bond and will be released from immigration custody
Vizguerra has been in the U.S. for almost three decades.

Did you watch Trump's speech the other night?! His attempted damage control just looked nuts.
For 20 minutes, Americans watched Donald Trump address the nation, “drenched in pure panic as he tried to bully an entire nation into admitting he’s doing a great job,” @radiofreetom.bsky.social argues:
This Is What Presidential Panic Looks Like
Donald Trump delivered a fear-drenched rant live from the White House.

Unacceptable! Republicans are driving up costs from health care to groceries.

Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress are still trying to raise the cost of your health care. One simple thing we can all do is extend the ACA subsidies and they still aren't acting.

Just a friendly reminder, RFK Jr is lying about vaccines and Autism. I will continue to call out his lies. Americans need to trust that they are getting science-based information from the government.

Under the Republican shutdown, health insurance premiums are skyrocketing, critical services have been disrupted, & public servants are working without pay.

And where are House Republicans? Nowhere to be found.

The American people deserve public servants who show up to fight for them.

Had a great meeting with the Denver Young Dems last night.

We had an energizing conversation about this week's big Democratic wins and what’s ahead as we keep building momentum for 2025 and beyond.

House Republicans have been on a taxpayer-funded vacation since mid-September while millions of Americans are paying the price for their inaction.

Democrats haven’t stopped working. We've been in Washington every week during this shutdown ready to reopen the government & lower costs for families.

Donald Trump found hundreds of millions to build a ballroom at the White House. Meanwhile, he is refusing to provide a dime to keep Americans from going hungry.

He would rather leave children, seniors, and families hungry than negotiate a bipartisan agreement to reopen the government.
November 4, 2025 at 8:27 PM
Donald Trump has spent more time golfing than figuring out how to reopen the government.

Meanwhile, House Republicans have been on a five-week vacation.

Democrats? We're in Washington week after week, ready, willing, and able to reopen the government and lower health care costs.

The government has been shut down for 30 days, and Donald Trump and House Republicans are nowhere to be found.

Meanwhile, supplemental food assistance is about to expire and health care prices are skyrocketing.

It’s time to stop the vacation and start governing.

For months, Democrats have been sounding the alarm about the Republican-forced health care crisis.

Costs are already too high under Donald Trump, and now hundreds of thousands of Coloradans will be forced to choose between staying on their health care or buying groceries.

We are heading into a health care crisis of the Republicans’ making.

Republicans need to work with us to find a path forward that reopens the government while making health care more accessible and more affordable.

And I am ready to work with my colleagues to get this done.
October 24, 2025 at 2:32 PM
Between the Big Bad Bill & Republican's short-sighted refusal to extend ACA premium assistance, Coloradans will see a 28% increase in insurance premiums.

Last year, it was 5.6%.

This is unacceptable.

We should be making it easier for people to get health insurance, not harder & more expensive.

Trump & Republicans don’t care about you.

Rather than lower costs or open the government, they're giving a massive bailout to Argentina, buying new private jets, and building a ballroom at the White House. Speaker Johnson even refuses to bring the House back so they can't release the Epstein Files.

Donald Trump and Republicans slashed Medicaid in the Big Bad Bill while handing tax breaks to billionaires.

Now they’ve shut down the government instead of stopping massive premium hikes—then skipped town for another week.

It’s time for them to get back to work and reopen the government.
