Definitely going to sculpt more custom parts for minis next year, or maybe attempt a whole mini from scratch...

Using Nomad Sculpt to create heads, legs and pelvis/tail to be compatible with the current plastic kit, I have updated the OG Tyranid Warriors to fit in with the current range, and how I've always prefered them.
The legends return!

Realised the photo I took of my custom Tyranid Warrior next to a Primaris echoes the Doom of the Eldar artwork by David Gallagher, which was the image that kickstarted my hobby journey all the way back in early 1998.

Still in the early messy stage of painting - drybrushed some 90's Fiery Orange over red before a medium wash of Blood Angels Red contrast.

Contrast didn't have the desired effect on the flesh, will be painting it acrylic red before drybrushing again, then some blending :)
