Yep that's it, they keep you awake so they can better monitor you, and if you need to move around or anything. But it's like it never happened. I really don't remember anything about what happened over that time. Effectively you are unconscious, in terms of remembering anything.

The sedation went as they said it would. They put the needle in my arm, asked me a question about what I do for work, and I hardly made it to the end of that. Next thing I knew, it was over and time to leave. You're technically conscious, but it's all forgotten afterwards. Nothing to worry about.

Here I am, demonstrating #ableton Live at an Apple Store on 8th September 2007. This is back when software came in a box and you could pick it up at the Apple Store, as you can see on the shelves in the background. Good times, I always liked doing these demos.
