Sunset Ridge tenants are fighting against predatory practices & unacceptable living conditions. They’ve made it clear that they will not be silenced. I stand in solidarity with the tenants union as they seek legal redress from evictions & retaliation.

I am very saddened to hear about the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson—a giant of the civil rights movement who advocated tirelessly for equality & justice.

Let us honor his great legacy by keeping hope alive as we continue his fight for a more racially & economically just America.

Roses are red,
violets are blue,
Trump's tariffs are tanking the economy,
and they're ruining Valentine's Day, too.

We know that early detection is crucial in the fight against breast cancer—but for many women, mammograms fail to detect tumors.

That’s why I introduced the Find It Early Act, which would require insurance to cover additional breast cancer screenings at no cost to patients.

Pam Bondi can't give straight answers because those answers would show the truth.

Trump is all over the Epstein files and she is panicking trying to cover it up.
February 11, 2026 at 9:27 PM
Pam Bondi is engaged in a coverup and protecting pedophiles. Her excuse? “Well other administrations did it.”

And that’s why we passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The cover up ends now. We demand accountability.

Today, I had the pleasure of welcoming Special Olympics CT wonderful athletes and staff to Capitol Hill for their annual visit.

I am always proud to support the Special Olympics' important mission of fostering acceptance & inclusion in sports for people of all abilities.

American households are footing the bill for Trump’s chaotic tariffs, which are making the cost-of-living crisis worse.

These tariffs are a windfall for corporate lobbyists, at the expense of working people.

February is American Heart Month, we wear red to raise awareness for heart disease—the leading cause of death among Americans and the top threat to women’s health.

We must work together to reduce and prevent heart disease.

I had the joy of reading to 2nd graders at the Mauro-Sheridan school in New Haven, where we talked about making a positive difference & dreaming big & standing tall.

We read “Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon,” the inspiring tale of a girl who stands up to a bully & finds confidence.

Workers & businesses alike know that access to #PaidLeave means a stronger workforce & economy.

On the 33rd anniversary of the FMLA, it’s time Congress pass my FAMILY Act, to ensure that workers & their families are supported during hard times.

Key Facts: The Family and Medical Leave Act | National Partnership for Women & Families
NPWF research estimates that the FMLA has been used about 566 million times by working people who needed to care for their own health or the health of their families. In 2025 alone, more than 15 milli...

Democrats are committed to governing.

We will resist the Trump administration’s lawlessness and work to pass a Homeland Security bill that cracks down on ICE.

If Republicans won’t work with us, Homeland will shut down.
February 4, 2026 at 9:19 PM
This morning, I joined @npr.org to talk about how Democrats will work to rein in ICE.

Law enforcement officers across the country are required to identify themselves. ICE should be no exception.

Our communities deserve to know who they are.

The documents released by the Department of Justice relating to Jeffrey Epstein are horrific. And still, DOJ sits on 3+ million more documents – withholding what must be disclosed under the law. And for what?

Bondi's DOJ must stop protecting pedophiles and their wealthy enablers.

Giant corporations and their billionaires owners are paying nothing in taxes - NOTHING.

Hardworking Americans are suffering from the cost of living crisis and yet they won't get an expanded, monthly Child Tax Credit.

The Trump administration works for the ultra rich, not you.
February 3, 2026 at 6:49 PM
The funding is there, and every officer operating in our communities should be wearing a body camera.

However, this alone won’t be enough for Homeland Security to regain public trust or to ensure full transparency and accountability.

Secretary Noem must be removed from office.

Arresting journalists for doing their jobs is an attack on truth and our values as Americans.

The freedom of the press is a cornerstone of our democracy. Don Lemon and other journalists arrested today must be released.

17 years ago, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act was signed into law to confront the unfair wage gap facing women.

I had the privilege of knowing Lilly Ledbetter. She was my dear friend & her courage continues to inspire our work to eliminate workplace discrimination & guarantee equal rights for all.

Today, I joined Access Health CT to assist with enrollment & answer questions about the expired ACA subsidies we've been fighting to extend.

Thanks to Governor Ned Lamont, CT is fighting back against the Republican healthcare crisis & using state funds to keep healthcare affordable.

I have called for Kristi Noem to be removed as head of the Department of Homeland Security for months.

She must immediately resign or be fired, & if she is not removed, I will support moving forward with impeachment proceedings in the House of Representatives.
