Zenitsu would never willingly give Inosuke credit for anything—as far as he’s concerned, Inosuke's reasoning is about as sound as a rickety staircase—but he's always been a little impressed by the dark-haired boy's complete and utter lack of filter. He can always count on Inosuke to say exactly what he's thinking, no matter how asinine, proudly and at maximum volume, every thought like a pebble clattering down the rickety staircase he calls a brain. But for once, they're in total agreement: they’re not friends, they never will be friends, and Zenitsu is only doing this because, apparently, he pities Inosuke more than he actually hates him. Small wonders. Zenitsu had no doubt that if the situation were reversed, Insouke wouldn’t have bothered, but that was fine. It only goes to show the kindness and goodness of his own heart, and if this gives him a convenient bit of blackmail for later….well. Zenitsu figures he’s owed a bit of payback. It’s with this in mind that Zenitsu steps forward, determinedly squaring his shoulders…only to pause a foot or so away from Insouke, suddenly unsure. Inosuke had crossed his arms over his ridiculously sculpted chest (and no, Zenitsu was not jealous, not at all), his back straight, feet firmly planted in a defensive stance. The expression on Inosuke’s mask is almost serene, the boar’s glassy, unblinking stare seeming to follow him like the eyes in a painting. Zenitsu can only imagine the look on the boy’s actual face: Insouke’s features twisting with his scowl, the careful, predator-stalking-prey way those big green eyes of his would be watching him, waiting for Zenitsu to make one wrong move so he can kick him back down into the dirt. Problem is, there’s plenty that can go wrong here. Zenitsu sighs, sidling closer, purposely keeping his movements slow and exaggerated, as if Inosuke were a horse that might spook Which, he supposes, isn’t all that terribly far off. Briefly, Zenitsu wonders if there’s something wrong with him that he finds the prospect of showing Inosuke Hashibira how to properly jerk off less mortifying than Gramps’ training had been. But of course, he already knows the answer to that—Kaigaku always said he would have been better off working as a kagema, one of the young boys employed in certain teahouses for the pleasure and entertainment of older male clients. “At least then, you’d finally be good for something,” Kaigaku had sneered, and the worst part was that he couldn’t even disagree; Kaigaku was and is an asshole, but he’d rarely even been wrong, at least as far as Zenitsu was concerned. Gramps had been good to him, better than he deserved, and Zenitsu’s only regret is all the time Gramps wasted on an untalented loser like him. Zenitsu swallows, shoving those thoughts back down deep where they belong. “Are you watching?” he grouses. “’Cause I’m only gonna show you once.”
