Greatly saddened to learn of the passing of the Hon Stephen Charles AO KC.

He was extraordinarily generous with his time and expertise in championing accountability and transparency.

Our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and his colleagues at the Centre for Public Integrity.

May 26 is National Sorry Day.

We reflect on the recommendations in the Bringing Them Home report, and we have hope that the reforms in the Uluru Statement From the Heart will be borne out to shape an Australia for all Australians.

Well, no one was expecting that result, not even Labor!

We’re still waiting for the Senate count to be completed, but we’ve had swings toward us in WA and Qld. Vic was a more challenging environment, competing with high profile candidates for Vic Socialists and Legalise Cannabis plus a less favourable ballot position, but overall we’re very happy 😊

In 1977, Don Chipp had a vision to offer Australian voters the choice to support a party with a difference. Today is our birthday. We're still here, and we're still living the same values Don envisioned

"The country that elected Tony Abbott in 2013 is gone. It has been replaced by a volatile, culturally diverse, values-driven, and economically anxious electorate, one that expects serious answers on housing, inclusion, climate, and fairness."

The Liberals are fundamentally mismatched with modern Australia
The party is ignoring the realities, identities, and aspirations of the people who will determine its electoral future.

We’re not running a senate ticket in NSW this time unfortunately. We have a candidate running in the seat of Banks for the HoR.

In the interests of transparency and accountability we have to report that the people’s watchdog had a slow start this morning, but we got there in the end 😂

Elana met Linda today at pre-poll. Linda set up our very first WA branch in Subiaco back in 1977.

She told Elana, “I was protesting uranium mining in the 70s, now I’m protesting fracking in the Kimberley. I'm furious I still have to protest this stuff.”

The work is far from over if we keep Peter Dutton and the Coalition out, writes Angela Priestley.

The first step is preventing a Dutton Government. Next comes holding a second-term Albanese Government to acount and remaining vigilant.
