okay so... there was this owl guy that appeared on a single page of a single issue in the first year of the comic as the punchline of a joke. he has been reintroduced almost twenty years later (irl) as the Nick Fury who assembled a crack team of Secret Freedom Fighters. what

i know i'm going back and forth here, but it's crazy that these are three different characters with minimal screentime in the games and that the comics are the only place you'll see them actually do anything

i exaggerate slightly, as Jet is finally back and all, but still. i need Bean and Bark

Battle Kukku XVI (Speedy) from Tails Adventure on Game Gear. they're referencing another character from that game in the mobile card battler that's coming out this year so maybe he'll be in that?

Bean the Dynamite from Sonic the Fighters. Bean and his buddy Bark show up in all the American comics and Mania (technically) but that's really it unfortunately

Jet the Hawk from Sonic Riders. everyone knows this guy

why does Oil Man talk Like That

"Waddup? Oil Man in the house with his mission accomplished."

He also keeps calling people "baby" or "big man" or "big daddy" or whatever else, too.

I wouldn't think much of him talking like this if it weren't for his original design (from the Japanese release of Powered Up) looking Like That

it's crazy. every other storyline in the older days had me groaning or laughing at how stupidly absurd the storylines were. and yet this newer stuff takes the best (and worst) parts of it and makes it genuinely engaging to read, every single issue. goddamn
