Glasgow Life committed to having fully costed options for Whitehill Pool ready by August. This has now been pushed back to November. We've been told this is because the council's Capital Funding committee now won't discuss until then. So a public commitment to Dennistoun is ignored.

We continue to ask for more specific information about the traffic regulation order that's being proposed for Dennistoun. We have been told there will be a full public consultation at a later stage. 5/5

This month's meeting of DCC discussed the ongoing closure of Whitehill, problems with the Haghill bin hubs, the more recent closure of the Alexandra Parade Sports Hub and new people needed to run the Reidvale Community Centre. We will follow up on all, and there's also ongoing action on flytipping.
It's planned that officials from the Council's cleansing department attend Tuesday's DCC meeting. There should be an update on the Haghill bin pilot, but are there any other issues that should be raised?

DCC is holding a community only meeting for people who'd like to be actively involved with the campaign to save Whitehill Pool. At Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre, 13 Whitevale Street, Glasgow G31 1QW on Tuesday April 29th at 7pm, but this time in the smaller first floor room.
We're delighted to announce we've manage to arrange for extra organic waste recycling bins for Dennistoun, which for the last nine months or so has only had one outside Haghill. There are now several on Reidvale Street and Bellgrove, and those removed from Whitehill Pool and Craigpark are back.

We're delighted to announce we've manage to arrange for extra organic waste recycling bins for Dennistoun, which for the last nine months or so has only had one outside Haghill. There are now several on Reidvale Street and Bellgrove, and those removed from Whitehill Pool and Craigpark are back.
There's also a commitment to better communication with both DCC and the wider community via regular updates, no matter how small the progress, and unless required for safety reasons there will be no further changes such as the metal fence without consultation. 2/2

Productive meeting last night with members of the community, elected officials and Glasgow Life over the future of Whitehill Pool. There is no easy fix, as massive capital investment is required, but we have a commitment that a viable set of proposals will be prepared by August. 1/2
