R.I.P. Ace Frehley. I had a huge Kiss Army decal on the side of my '77 Caprice in high school. Damn it.

It's that time of the year when people want to read spooky books. Look no further than Sausalito Library's well-stocked Horror & Tales of the Weird section. This is the stuff that influenced Stephen King.
Seen around Sausalito today.
In the early-'90s, I worked with a guy whose primary job was to format these all day. His cubicle was devoid of any personal touches, and he was surrounded by stacks of these.
I can recall a time when the word "protein" was used solely by nutritionists and zookeepers. There is no way you can excite my tastebuds with that word, or "carbohydrates," or "fats." The ad below makes me think this is probably a meat beverage. No, thanks.
I saw them at an estate sale and thought they would be a cool addition to our Leisure Time Collection of periodicals. I just mix them in throughout the year.
Ah, yes...I often forget to make that clear!
Not sure if anyone's looking at them. If not, they're missing out! It was the first magazine I ever subscribed to.
You had a great childhood if you spent long Saturday mornings viewing these beauties.
Bought a stack of these at an estate sale and have added them to my library's periodical collection.
Shout out to the second person to give 5 stars to Ursula of Ulm on Amazon. The follow-up to Shagduk has flown under the radar since it came out, perhaps because few are aware of it. If you read and loved Shagduk, know that Ursula of Ulm came out last year. Enjoy, and thank you!
Mediocre albums that bring you joy?

Just listened to Berlin's debut LP Information with Virginia Macolino on vocals. A few good songs that only hint at their greatness to follow. Nevertheless it scratches the 1980 itch.
Pet peeve: When someone emails you a link and says, "Will you post this flier on the bulletin board?" You click the link and it's just a web page. You have to cut and paste and basically make the flier yourself. Or, they send you the flier and it has a bunch of hyperlinks on it.

Enjoy this Pylon video in which they urge us to read a book. Sound advice from 1982.
