In a field trip separate from the MRI Simulator, Andrew, Johnny, Joe, and Graham took a tour of the Deeley Research Center at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. They were invited by Dr. Julian Smazynski, along with William Lichtfield from the BC Cancer Foundation.

Designed and built by Camosun College students, this machine will alleviate the anxiety associated with having to get scanned by allowing children to experience the procedure in a lower stress environment.

Andrew, Erika, and Travis (from @childsplaycharity.bsky.social) were on hand for the unveiling of a new MRI Simulator at Victoria General Hospital last month! Thank you so much for your support of Child's Play Charity which enables advancements in hospital tech both worldwide and in our own town.

Hey Warriors of Light! I have made a full set of Elpis robes for @desertbus.org ‘s Craft a Long. I asked Yoshi P to sign the mask for it (original 3D model by @dangerousladies.ca ) so keep your eye out for it :)

$205,069.69 is a very real number you made happen over the course of 24 hours with Desert Bus Express, and we couldn't be more grateful for your generosity.

Happy to be a first time crafter for the @desertbus.org craft-along. I'm creating lace made cotton thread using a technique call tatting. Chun-li is made from 1111 stitched rings. The sprite is from 'SNK vs Capcom' on the NeoGeo Pocket.

Next I have to craft her opponent, 1523 rings to go.

A hand crafted lacework comprising of 1111 small interconnected rings of cotton thread in various colours. The lace design is a pixel art sprite of Chun-Li from the game 'SNK vs Capcom' on the Neo Geo Pocket Colour.

It's a couple weeks later than I'd like but I've finally started stitching this year's @desertbus.org craft.

I have already had to fix a mistake.

Pale blue aida fabric in a wooden embroidery hoop. There are a few random, disconnected dark blueish lines stitched onto it. In the background are some bobbins of embroidery thread in different shades of green.
