I've been tending to write in present lately because it feels like that's what everyone seems to prefer? But since I've been writing a book, I've been wanting to write in past tense more so. Also always third person.....

When you roleplay, do you prefer to write in present tense? Past tense? Do you change to match your roleplay partner? Does it change depending on whether you're roleplaying in game or over another format (discord, forum, tumblr, etc.)? Why?

Finding out about the head of an old vaporware game project you used to be a part of died is kind of crazy.
I was really hopeful for this game to be real once upon a time and I did a ton of work for it, but when three years passed and I never got to see any proof of in game footage...
