The only people on the field more inept than Lincoln Riley are these refs. #FightOn
Horrible offensive playcalling.

Weak, unfocused offensive execution.

Dismal defensive game plan.

Inconsistent defensive execution.

Easy recipe for a loss for USC

They're... playing a big role in the game.
Is... nobody in the booth gonna tell the announcer to STOP calling Ja'Kobi Lane, "Ja'Kobi Dean"?
Last year, my favorite USC player was the punter.

This year, it's the placekicker.

Strange times.

I know the refs sometimes make a benefit-of-the-doubt call with the reassurance that it can be hastily overturned, but the officials on-field calling that an interception are morons.

And the fact that it's taking more than three seconds to overturn the call is even more moronic.

Woooooow. Astonishingly dumb interception by Carr. Of course, Maiava made the identical interception last week and he's a junior. #FightOn
Intriguing that USC's defense appears to have watched no tape on the Notre Dame offense. They seem not to have ever seen Jeremiah Love before, which is peculiar. #FightOn
A good, solid win for USC, if only because of how reliably they've choked away games like this over the past two years.

The defense was especially stout in the second half.

#FightOn
That Underwood interception was egregious. He, however, is actually a freshman.
That Maiava interception was egregious. He's been better this year. No question. But I'm not sure why he's being treated like his only experience is four games last year, like he didn't start 11 games at UNLV as a freshman. #FightOn
Two straight bad calls around Lemon and then... big run. Ball don't lie. #FightOn
Stupid early fumbles. Oh well. There's no chance that this game, which should have breathing room already, will be close going into the fourth quarter, setting USC up for defeat. Nothing to worry about. Nope. #FightOn
Damn good win for UCLA. (Damn embarrassing loss for Penn State.)

That's the sort of game that USC has found a way to blow NEARLY every opportunity they've had, so credit to the Bruins.
By my count, USC has a minimum of 2 wins left on the schedule, but a maximum of 4. #FightOn
Say what you will, but last season, USC would have found a way to make that game exciting, only to lose in the end thanks to questionable clock management and being unable to make critical stops.

Oh.

#FightOn
Makai Lemon is ridiculous and prognosticators need to stop pretending he isn't a first round pick. The Patriots, for example, do not have a single receiver close to his talent. #FightOn
The rush to coronate D'Anton Lynn was WAY premature. #FightOn
Two VERY questionable calls in USC's favor toward the end made it a 4-point game instead of a 14-point game. Absolutely.
A stupid fumble and an even stupider TD-negating penalty can torpedo a half, but mostly, USC was completely unable to stop Illinois on defense and yet... Only 14-10. Could be worse. Could be better.
Last year, the USC defense was improved, but they still got absolutely manhandled at the line by quality Big 12 teams. That Illinois drive very much reminded me of last year. #FightOn
The Fox crew is WILDLY underestimating how flat USC is going to come out because of the time change.

Or may that's just me. This is way too early for a Saturday football game. #FightOn
Look, given the schedule, USC *had* to start 4-0.

And... they did.

There was nothing to learn from the first two games and nearly nothing to learn from beating Purdue, but I think the fact that USC regained momentum after tonight's 3rd quarter blip MIGHT be a sign of more spine than last year?
