Empagliflozin vs. Dapagliflozin: Any difference? A Danish study with 50,000+ people shows: Both SGLT2 inhibitors protect kidney function equally well in type 2 diabetes. No significant differences found - a class effect seems likely.

In July, the 100,000th kidney was transplanted in Germany - a milestone. Many live with the organ for decades. But over 6,000 people are still waiting. The DGfN is calling for better access to transplants and more prevention and early detection of kidney disease. #dgfn #transplantation #kidney

DIALIZE-Outcomes trial: sodium zirconium cyclosilicate controls potassium in dialysis patients – but no effect on CV outcomes (8.8% vs. 8.9%). Severe hyperkalemia decreased with SZC (4.0% vs. 10.4%). DGfN demands a national dialysis registry.🔗 www.kidney-international.org/article/S008... #dialysis
