The Tay whale, George Washington Wilson, 1888.
A large beached whale washed on Scotland. A local doctor took possession of it, and paraded it around the country, on a train, charging 50P to see it. It must have reeked.

On 9/11 I was at my school in midtown Manhattan.
Schools were closed for 4 days. We had a meeting of teachers on Thursday. The principal spoke on how to talk to kids about this. No mention of the teacher's trauma. We were given a pamphlet That had Hurricane crossed out and
