Haven't they 'bought' every politician with influence for decades?
None of those being 'sponsored'/rewarded will allow green energy to be cheaper than from fossil, so the sponsors will be compensated for any 'losses', while they also continue to avoid paying tax...

Until 2000, there was competition between electricity generating companies, so the cheapest were used first.
UK politicians linked energy to fossil, for their sponsors, not to lower prices. Break that link and wind/solar/tidal could reduce using coal/gas/oil significantly.
Sponsors bought power.

Q1: if an EV can recover energy at 20kW, and it was on a "rolling road" could it charge faster than it's 7kW charge point limit?
Q2: Would the drive train be simpler if the motor was at the back, driving a rear axle?
Q3: why would an EV stop using recovered energy for regen braking?

Last year I had so many questions about EVs, and couldn't find answers. I had an idea to buy a 3 year old small van, added what I would need to stay in the van at a campsite, as overnight alternative to a tent or caravan.

Can someone please explain the system that charges the 12V battery in an EV?
I bought a Renault Kangoo EV early last year, when it was 3 years old. Now I discovered that because traction batteries have improved so fast, the value of an EV with under 100 miles range and slow charging is awful.

25 years ago, there was competition between electricity generating companies, to meet expected demand. The govt did what their sponsors wanted, made gas and electric tradeable commodities, and therefore linked to global prices. We won't see lower prices until that connection is removed.

There are already EV taxis that automatically change the discharged battery for a charged one. I’m not sure where, but I saw a video.

Of all the cats in my life, I don’t recall any that were able to stay with me for more than 18 years. Beyond 20 is certainly a privilege! Long live cats!
