We need to change the narrative from generational welfare to generational poverty. That way we stop blaming people and start looking at the real issues and causes of poverty. We can stop deciding who are the deserving poor and who are the undeserving.

The reason trump is giving this massive bailout to farmers is because he fucked them over in the first place. Magats are claiming he's such a hero who cares about American farmers. Bullshit. They weren't struggling because of crop failure, but trump tariff failure.

trump is redirecting housing funds to transitional rather than permanent housing. Transitional is more costly and ineffective. It comes with strings attached, which, coincidentally will hurt some of the most vulnerable homeless population

I find this focus on autism very disturbing. Not only are autistic people being referred to as broken, they are being seen as unable to function in society. It is yet another push to try and force those who don't fit the norms to change, rather than society to change to include them

I'm not sure why so many people think autism is automatically bad and that autistic people need to be "fixed". Non-verbal autism is common, but being non-verbal does not mean they can't communicate or have a lack of thought or understanding. Stop infantilizing autistic people

I'm disgusted by the rights response to police violence. They cheer it on. In their eyes, the police can do no wrong and everyone they hurt/murder, deserves it. They are complicit in the fascist takeover of our country. We've seen this before and it will not end well

Why aren't we talking about a real hero, Victor Greenawalt, who shielded his friend during the shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church? He got shot, trying to save his friend. Let that sink in. All yourself why we are not talking more about him
