Anyone moved from OCR maths to Edexcel at GCSE? Just moved to an OCR school, marking a set of papers and the are hard in my opinion. Very wordy, no ease in, 300 marks compared to 240, very low grade boundaries. Concerned re pupil confidence and EAL/dyslexia/lower reading ages on scores. Thoughts?

Hi all. I have recently moved to a school who does OCR maths at GCSE. Having always done Edexcel or AQA I am really surprised by the difficulty of throwing papers. Particularly how wordy try are. Anyone else got views on this?

Giving Y10 a full set of GCSE papers. Yes or no? I am in the no camp. Topics they haven't been taught yet, ruins confidence going into Year 11. I want to build them up and identify topics to work on, not crucify them.
