Or a show you could summarize as, "The best parts of Star Trek TNG." Ditch most of the heavy special effects in favor of episodes that grapple with weighty questions or the nature of humanity. Episodes like Measure of a Man, Drumhead, or The Inner Light.

I get that Stranger Things is one of Netflix's prestige shows that makes them a lot of money, but I would love to see from them more smaller-budget, indie type series that are either originals or saved from other platforms. Series like "Love, Death and Robots" or "Scavengers Reign."
