Would quite like to go back in time to the kick off after Pollock's first try, and ask him not to knock the ball on this time.

If Jacob Bethell had played a few Championship matches for Warwickshire last summer, and scored runs, instead of sitting on his arse all summer, in approved fashion, in the England dressing room ("integrating") then England might have dared to back their judgment and pick him in the first Test.

How has he managed to sink to a new low? An actual kidnap of an actual head of state. Wtf.

Tomorrow evening it’ll be my annual duty to vaguely shepherd the activity on the #duvetknowitschristmas hashtag and urge people to give small sums to charity. 7.30pm? Something like that?

It would also be good to know where I've hidden the presents I bought for Mrs D. They are not small, and yet

"Make sure presents to go in the stocking are wrapped in Father Christmas paper."
This is only a good instruction if I know where the Father Christmas paper is.

I picked up Catch-22 again after more than two decades and realized the novel makes a lot more sense now. This is a bad thing, of course. #Booksky #Books #Literature

Listening to French commentary of the #Saints game. Going to keep it that way to hear them when Pollock comes on.

It was all going so well until Stokes edged one into his knackers.

Amazing what happens when you bowl a relentless line and length and don’t bother with some macho strategy of banging the ball in short. Put McCullum on a plane to New Zealand and give Alec Stewart a call.

Home Alone 2 with the boy. Rewatching my favourite films with him brings me such joy.
Pleased to say he laughed his tits off.

I'm glad I wasn't awake for the start of this match. Horrible from Pope.

For a man who has been accused of spot fixing before, the red card for Paqueta sure was avoidable.

Awake in the night because of a poorly child. Absolutely delighted that I got to see this passage of play.

Waking up to see England already all out is bad, but watching from amongst the barmy army would probably be worse.
