Join disABILITYsa Jan 30–31 for a free, community-centered research conference where disabled voices are front and center. Sessions, activities, and space to reimagine how research happens in our city.

Schedule Day 1 for disFORUM listing morning events from 9:00–11:30 a.m. Sessions include a welcome, a featured talk on transforming lived experiences into healthcare advocacy, three concurrent breakout options at 10:30 a.m. (workplace inclusion, art-based stress relief, and a campfire conversation), followed by a session on inclusive international research partnerships and a lunch and networking block. Schedule Day 1 for disFORUM listing afternoon events from 12:30–3:45 p.m. Sessions include a talk on 3D printing innovation in a durable medical equipment reuse program, two rounds of concurrent breakouts on autism crisis response, language and research participation, restraint-to-respect approaches, and person-centered care mapping, and ends with closing remarks and a reminder to take the event survey. Schedule Day 2 for disFORUM listing morning events from 9:00–11:00 a.m. Sessions include a welcome, a featured talk on inclusive research methods with individuals with visual disabilities in healthcare design, and two concurrent breakout blocks covering community-based research training for community members and for researchers, plus sessions on mental health, authentic leadership, psychological capital in the workplace, and rethinking “behavior” through disability-led research. Schedule Day 2 for disFORUM listing late-morning events from 11:30 a.m.–12:45 p.m. Sessions include a main-stage presentation on Deaf and hard of hearing communication strategies, concurrent breakouts on Sage Haven and accessible interviewing in qualitative research, and closing remarks on the main stage.
