I watched a Thai BL show called Cutie Pie and I thought it was too cute. So that’s my own fault then really!

Also I get annoyed at plots based on pointless lying. One honest conversation and there would be no show.

The side couple/plot was fantastically weird though. I kept going just for them.

One of the great thing about buying books from publishers: you can often pick up a (DRM-free) bargain or two

Like this week - when grabbing a digital copy of @tcparker.bsky.social's THE NINE O'CLOCK HORSES direct from us gets you 50% off haunted house/cosmic horror whodunnit A PRESS OF FEATHERS!
The Nine O'Clock Horses & Other Stories
Urban legend, body horror and suburban paranoia collide in THE NINE O’CLOCK HORSES - a collection of short stories, novelettes and micro-fictions from the author of TRADWIFE, HUMMINGBIRD and SALTBLOOD...

Want to read my books for free? Easy.

Get them from a library. I get paid, you're supporting the ecosystem, and you get to read them in print. Everyone wins.

Instead, my work has been stolen over 50,000 times (!) on pirate sites.
I posted a buy link here to "A Magical Inheritance" a few days ago, and 24 of you immediately went to Anna's Archives and fucking stole it from me.

Yes, stole it.

I do not get paid for your download there because YOU ARE STEALING FROM ME.

Walking around a gigantic shopping centre for work research.

There is Christmas stuff everywhere, in addition to the blinding overhead lighting.

This is no way to live. Why are people here for fun? Save yourselves! Flee!

This book by @catswrites.bsky.social absolutely hooked me. Love story between a con man and the neurodivergent Earl he wants to con. I love them both so so much.

TW: grief

Emotional morning watching the live stream of my dear friend Piotr’s Polish funeral

He passed 4 months ago, and I’ve already been to the UK funeral and a friend-made memorial. But it was good to see him finally laid to rest in his own country. At home.

I miss him deeply. Love you Piotr.

Just went to my first Kpop album launch event and it was ADORABLE.

For the new Stray Kids album, Do It.

Everyone trading photo cards and squealing about their favourite members. So cute.

Finished Crash Landing on You!
One of the best TV shows EVER made. I lost count of how many times I cried. Just perfect.

Client meetings in my 20s:

Suited, booted, possibly even a tie.

Client meetings in my 30s:

FFS. Where’s my one shirt? I swear I owned a shirt. I vaguely recall something with buttons. I remember because I resented its existence.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

Change your moderation settings!

I just restored a bunch of content areas I had no idea was being hidden from me. One was “Rude”, which made me laugh.
Unfortunately I’m in the UK and the Online Safety Act means I can’t access my messages or ‘adult content’ anyway.
But still, everyone, go do this.

I am selling most of my clothes and using the shelf space for books.

I feel very good about this decision. I only wear pyjamas anyway.

Ahhh, post-convention overstimulation, we meet again.

Yes, I had a very nice time, and it was noisy and hectic in there, but now I am in BED. In the DARK. Go to SLEEP.

Had a brilliant day at YALC - the Young Adult Literature Convention.

I was tired so I only went for 3 hours in the afternoon, but that’s when the books get reduced, so I got all these for less than £30! 📚💙

Every time I see a buff, muscular person, or just a clip of a gym, I get hit with a weird surge of grief.

I was such a gym bunny before I got sick. Weights genuinely made me happy. And I loved how masc I looked.

I love my body cos it’s mine and it’s doing its best. But man, I miss having muscles.
