its amazing how many people think a tarten skirt is a kilt. No, its a skirt, its a girly estrogen skirt. Bright pink and black is not a recognised clan tarten, actually. Somehow i feel like this mistake doesn't happen unless you're trans. For the record I don't wear kilts, sporrans, or carry a dirk.

UK Labour is a far right hate group tbh
Honestly, not surprised to see Britain relieving brown people of their valuables once again

They want to victim-blame... if you have an adult report assault, you can victim-blame and say they consented when they didnt. With children that defense is theoretically impossible, though they still try anyway, portraying children as manipulating adults into it, or redefining the age of adulthood
Anyone who genuinely cares about sexual assault and abuse survivors cares about them *regardless* of their age. There is no one who cares about abused children but not abused adults, only people who used feigned care for children to oppress adults.

People treat assault against children - sexual assault, rape, even just beating them - as though it's the worst crime which revealing it is a gotcha, we got em!

You must be prepared for absolutely nothing happening. Just like all the other times.

Here's a reminder that the first of Jeffrey Epsteins victims to come forward was Ava Cordero in 2007. She was a transgender women so the media responded by calling her a "gender bender shocker" a "she he" and a "man"

Is it time yet for apologies to Katie Johnson, from the people who disbeleived her testimony? It only took 3 decades, the dismantling of a countrys constitution & the rise of fascism. Are we still pretending Tara Reade's story wasn't beleivable? Will this usher in a new age of beleiving women? lol.

you don't even need to be rural, i wasn't
The alternative to isolated or rural trans people finding out about trans people from media and the internet is not them being cis, but them feeling

wrong

in a way they can't name or explain for their whole lives. Sometimes that kills us.

this should be the worst year of my life, with losing my cat, poverty, stress at work for an evil company, deaths, being a victim of assault, global fascism. But its also the year I transitioned, & its also the year i met my girlfriend, and these are the two best things that have ever happened to me

I dont see how the US can continue to exist unless every person employed by ICE in any capacity is automatically placed on trial with lifelong imprisonment and potentially capital punishment up as probable outcomes.
He said that the agents would throw food at them to eat. The agents threatened to withhold food for a week and to beat him up if he didn't sign deportation papers. He said he saw others refuse and get beaten/receive no food. He signed because he was afraid.

if you can get a trans person easier access to their HRT you automatically get on the guest list for heaven. when i get my head above water this is going to be the first person i donate to, she's struggling for unfair reasons and we need more good journalists.

Elaine Welteroth, former editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue and youngest editor of Condé Nast ever, and the 2nd African American to hold this position, changed Teen Vogue to be more politically conscious.

Traffic to TeenVogue.com: 2.7M to 9.2M visitors a year, print subscriptions jumped 535%

Welteroth was just 29 when Anna Wintour made her editor-in-chief. Months later, the magazine shut down. What did she do next?

It is very clear the gutting of Teen Vogue is about silencing their excellent political coverage. Corporations want you uninformed and shut off from meaningful journalism. And they’re staggeringly successful at it so far.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

AI bros, handing you the remains of last night's dinner that they have clearly gotten from rummaging through the trash: "Watch out, dinner moguls! Your cooking is never going to be the same."
AI sitcom accidentally a Lynchian fever dream. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and insane lament.

she needs money for books for research too and if she gets them it means more good articles to read. please help an independant journalist in this age of overpaid pro-government sellouts that Woodward & Bermstein wouldn't give the time of day to.

Because workerists do think working class people are stupid. They dress up like construction workers and pretend to follow football teams they never cared about and use dumbed down language bc they think we're all stupid. They appeal to the lowest common denominator bc that's what they think we are.
14. I don’t know why she’s choosing to indirectly smear working-class folks as ignorant, violent or profane, but let’s focus on that last part, that supporting a working-class candidate will attract more working-class Americans to expand the Democratic Party.

Because it’s funny.

I think there is a fundamental misunderstanding here over who the LED recording light was actually protecting.
New: a $60 mod to Meta's Ray-Ban glasses disables the privacy LED light. This is supposed to light when people are filming with the glasses. We bought the mod, verified it works. Now you can never be sure whether someone wearing Meta Ray-Bans is filming you or not

A $60 Mod to Meta’s Ray-Bans Disables Its Privacy-Protecting Recording Light

I've felt things I thought I had been dissillusioned about, things i thought weren't real bc i didnt feel them bc i was always dissociating. But it's all real. You have to live.

I'm always momentarily surpprised by how stupid and childish and totally unqualified for their jobs or for participating in society that they are. But its a bit like being surprised that all the cyclists you know have nice calves or all the geologists you know have good outdoor boots, isn't it?
