The regular (and ex-coworker who will be coming back eventually) they got into it with isn't much better with holding her tongue, however she does a lot for the immediate community and will at least be sending the store owner an apology.

For the first time in my retail career I refused service to someone. Usually the American couple I refused service to are fine and polite, not an "American Tourist Stereotype". I have fun serving them normally... but for some reason tonight? 😬 They couldn't help but be rude af.

My city rarely does fireworks for fire safety reasons, so it was a pleasant surprise when they did them over the lake this year for Canada Day. I think Diwali will be the next time any go off, though they didn't do them last year so who knows.
