Dave Ball of Soft Cell, Band Known for ‘Tainted Love,’ Dies at 66

Dave Ball, a producer and half of the English duo Soft Cell, has died at his home in London. He was 66. Marc Almond, vocalist of Soft Cell, announced his death Thursday but did not give a cause. Almond said Dave had been “ill for a while and his health had been in slow decline over recent years.” 🙏🌈

Plan B has optioned the rights to Mark Ronson‘s 🏆 memoir Night People: How to Be a DJ in ’90s NYC, with plans to adapt it into a feature film. Ronson’s memoir is a reminiscence of his early career before he produced hit records for Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, and the Barbie soundtrack.
