Estimates suggest more than a third of Brazil’s Amazon timber is of illegal origin - and a lot of it ends up in the United States and Europe as luxury decks, benches and public boardwalks.

The panel also featured ​Helen Bellfield, co-director of @trase.earth. "There exists huge transparency gaps in indirect supply chains. Using per-shipment trade data & information on where companies own assets, Trase maps the supply chain, enabling companies to focus on areas with highest risk.”

#Climate change scepticism has "almost disappeared" from the British press and instead been replaced by a critique of climate action.
That means as environmentalists we have to change too and highlight how climate action can build the economy and not weaken it.

2️⃣A deeply unsatisfactory deal at COP29
3️⃣No deal on tackling plastics pollution.

The #EUDR is a chance for the EU to lead the world. Is it perfect? No. But the EU amendments to it, make it worse not better.
