Have to say I became tired of the ahistorical nonsense being exchanged here about “are the Nazis left or right wing” which seemed to start with Peter Hitchens in a Mail on Sunday article proclaiming them left-wing: the irony lost on him that his paper and its owners were..

True, but it is still relevant in that the original saying is slang that had evolved at a time. It helps illustrate the point that it is not a new phenomena (and reminds the kids they aren't really original in what they are doing.) You may have also created a great idea for a new type of drill rap!

How come very article on this fails to mention that the expressions "All Six and Sevens" or "At Six and Sevens" has been an expression in English since the late Middle Ages? It appears in Chaucer's writings. It means to be in a state of confusion. I am already making it uncool by telling kids that.

A diplomatic source told Le Figaro that the order to shoot down an Israeli drone came from France.
700 French soldiers are deployed with UNIFIL in Southern Lebanon.

Acc to UNIFIL, an Israeli drone flew over a French patrol in an aggressive manner near Kfar Kila. French troops destroyed the drone.

At Limehouse in London about to start cycling along the Grand Union Canal (this is the Regents Canal bit) to Birmingham. In terms of world history this structure is more significant than the Pyramids. Built in the 1780s it heralded the Industrial age.

He/she was my favourite character. As far as I was concerned at age 7, this was the future I was looking forward to. Found it funny a few years back I was watching an episode where they meet another space traveler and the father looking at his ship says "this is the 1986 model". How we dreamed.

The attack on the teaching of history in the USA to turn it into mindless indoctrination should really be getting more attention. I know I am biased being a history teacher, but it is the most important school subject for preserving the values of a society if it is to continue as a free democracy.

Australia has midwives. You don't need to be in a hospital but FFS, there is no excuse for not having one in attendance. Working in a Girls' School teaching the History of Medicine I always hammer home that for most of human history women had a lower life expectancy than men due to childbirth risk.
