I think what is interesting about this centennial history (1869-1969) of my parish is that it has lots about lot procurements, building estimates and construction costs, names of those on committees, & various parking lot plans including number of spots.

What I hate about my county’s all-in approach on using iPads with poor filtering is that they’ve essentially said “here’s a text book but please don’t look at the games or porn section attached to the back. ONLY use it for text book.”

Heard an incredible story from a Godly Play teacher this morning. If you're not familiar with Godly Play, it's a Montessori-based spiral curriculum that focuses on teaching students Bible stories through participation and imagination. She told us about how she saw the fruits of this formation ⚓

I forgot that we provide space for AA and once had an NA group before my time. Someone who came to our potluck tonight mentioned coming to that NA group and is now 3 years clean!
Happy for a signal boost to talk about the work my church does:
-weekly meal served to our unhoused neighbors
-partner with other downtown churches for Cridlin Food and Clothing Pantry, which has supplies for infants
-free office space to a sexual assault and rape crisis center
