I have been puzzled also. I can only imagine that Wall Street knows the current administration is doing favors for corporations to let them game the system. It seems that they could get insider forewarning to know when to sell and short sell stocks. Totally against FTC rules, but they don't care.

I think that was because the movie poster had him in sunglasses, and then memories get combined.
I have yet to see someone wearing the Meta glasses. Apparently they didn't learn the lessons of Google Glass. Rapidly users became known as Glassholes, and Google Glass disappeared from use.

I read the book before the movies, and before it became part of pop culture. It was a hard read at first, trying to absorb all the new words. I think the book had a glossary reference in the back along with a map of Arrakis.

I remember seeing the Emulator in pictures and dreaming of playing with one, but I haven't seen one IRL. I did get to play with an Emu rackmount ROM sampler ("rompler") that captured some of the classic Emulator samples, but the rackmount unit could only play the ROM samples, not load or record.

They're accounting for a lot of money in "investments". Nvidia and Microsoft "invest" money in OpenAI, and then OpenAI buys hardware and services from Nvidia and Microsoft. Those accounting tricks that will fall apart when the revenue does not make up for the expenses.
