I picked up a Blade Pen, made by ThingsByDan. Unlike any other pen I've ever used, though I don't have much experience with dip pens. I hope with time I'll get the hang of it. https://thingsbydan.myshopify.com/

Saw a fantastic show at the Church Of Clown tonight & I wanted to recommend it. “Help Wanted” is a weird/whimsical clown show about migration and misfits, told in an utterly charming way. Hard to describe, but perfect for anyone looking for weird art in San Francisco www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticket...

The photo looks old, like a yearbook photo from the 50s. There is yellow paint covering the photo and making a series of abstract lines. Three of these cards on the floor. Two are flipped, so you can see the text on the back. The art on the back is slightly different for each card, but they both have a calligraphic "B" drawn on them and text that says "Please. Graffiti on the sidewalk that represents a winged creature looking at the viewer. Sort of like a butterfly, or maybe a dragon. It is painted on the ground using a glue that was squeezed out of a tube. So it dried shiney and puffs off the surface. A sticker showing the same butterfly creature. The art is painted directly onto the sticker using red paint. A stencil on the sidewalk of a butterfly shaped creature. It is sprayed in red spray paint. Another sticker with the butterfly painted onto it in red paint.

This reflective acrylic sheet shows how 1980s illustrators were able to trace real-life objects on the computer. Once it was aligned, it reflected whatever was in front of it over the monitor's display, allowing artists to trace it in a tool like MacPaint or MS Paint. Simple, low tech and effective.

I did another quick Waymo count today, this time at Guerrero & 29th in #sanfrancisco

In 10 minutes:
• 46 driverless Waymos
• 85 human-driven vehicles

About a third of the traffic on my street is driverless cars.

Hard to confirm, but I never saw a passenger in any of these AVs.

Some days it feels like there are far more Waymos than usual. Maybe there’s a special event, or maybe there are fewer human driven cars out today, but I saw a few large caravans of Waymos that were sometimes 7-8 deep, all in the same lane.

Standing at the corner of Guerrero and Cesar Chavez counting Waymos in the rain. Totally normal stuff.
I counted 28 Waymos in ten minutes (10-10:10am). It’s hard to tell, but most appeared to be unoccupied. I only saw 2 passengers.
Three white Waymos (autonomous vehicles) at an intersection of Cesar Chavez and Guerrero. It’s a rainy day. No passengers are visible, but the windows are tinted. Three different Waymos at the same intersection.

1 orange + 70 grams of gloves + 3 hours of work = 1 pomander ball
An orange that has been completely covered with cloves. The cloves are stuck into the outer flesh of the orange with very little space between each clove, making it hard to see the orange beneath.

Another shot of the orange, but when fewer cloves were put into it. The cloves are placed in lines around the orange, to split the surface up into more manageable space.
