Spotted this art on Mission Street. The plants and flowers were recently removed from here, but this flower art (made from a sheet of metal) is pretty rad. #SFGraffiyi #graffiti
A piece of sheet metal that has been cut into the shape of a flower and placed into a patch of dirt near a small tree. The metal-flower has been painted green and purple and has a stem, as if it’s growing from the dirt.

Found a copy of “All City” at the thrift store and I really dig it. A nerdy telling of the history of subway graffiti in NYC during the 70s and 80s. Created by the Stanford Graphic Novel Project in 2023.

Jesse Lonergan’s “Drome” is a masterpiece. Really pushing the medium with this one and I loved it.
The front cover of Drome by Jesse Lonergan. The book is thick, over 300 pages, with a Kirby-esque cover. Pages from inside Drome. These pages are filled with wild animals and gods that appear to pop out of the panels. Usually panels are used to show moments in time, but the artist pushes that concept here by having some images stretch around and through various parts of the page, creating a weird sense of the movement of time. A few more pages from Drome. This one shows a god gifting time to the universe. Again, the artist does interesting things by using the panels and the shapes of the gods in boundary pushing ways, which makes the pages feel like there is no sense of time yet.
