Our ED Dr Kate Wylie has written a timely article for @croakeynews.bsky.social urging the senate to include human health in their proposed EPBC reforms.

“Clean air, clean water…and a stable climate are fundamental to human health, yet health considerations are nowhere to be seen in the ‘reforms’”

Missing out on COP31 is a lost opportunity for climate action in Australia.

As Dr Wylie states in this article for @croakeynews.bsky.social,
“Out of sight is out of mind, and having this vital global forum on the other side of the world means Australians will be able to look the other way.”
Health leaders call for First Nations and Pacific leadership to be prioritised at COP31

The Liberal Party's decision to abandon Net Zero threatens all Australians’ health, with serious consequences for our families and communities.

The health impacts of climate change are an escalating threat that our leaders must be prepared to face and address.

We are deeply disappointed.
Liberal Party formally abandons net zero by 2050 climate target
The decision brings the party closer to the Nationals, which ditched its support for the target earlier this month amid internal turmoil over the Coalition's policy.

Fake spider webs are made from plastic-based materials that don't break down easily. These decorations can trap, injure and, sadly, even kill birds, bees, and other insects.

Help protect the health of our wildlife by going plastic-free this Halloween.

Groundbreaking research released today measures the health impacts that Woodside's Scarborough Gas Project will cause. It shows the harm to our health and the health of our environment.

We cannot pretend that greenhouse gas emissions from any one fossil fuel project don't count.
For the first time, scientists can show the impact of gas project emissions
Fossil fuel companies and governments argue it's not possible to link climate impacts to specific projects, but Australian researchers have done the numbers.
