I get this question a lot. Arc are leaders. Matriarchs or Patriarchs of tribes. Some tribes choose leaders by decent, some by combat, some by vote, some by a council of elders. Some rare Arcs are the living avatars of sources. All tribes are allowed to select their arcs however they see fit.

So excited this is out! I scripted a story in Van Jensen's anthology about "Stardust the Super Wizard." If you don't know Stardust, he was the unhinged 1920's creation of Fletcher Hanks, the madman of Golden Age comics. My story has AMAZING art by the great @chrisacomics.bsky.social. Check it out!

The 7 Source Dragons weren't specifically inspired by the 7 deadly sins or the 7 virtues. But, in general, 7 has long been considered a significant Spiritual/Mystical/Cosmic number in various traditions.

The 7 Source Dragons weren't specifically inspired by the 7 deadly sins or the 7 virtues. But, in general, 7 has long been considered a significant Spiritual/Mystical/Cosmic number in various traditions.
TRUE STORY: I had an Uber driver in London this summer who has a twin. The driver's twin brother was married to his wife's twin sister. The two twin couples met at a TWIN CONVENTION (a real thing) in Germany. I asked what you do at Twin Cons, and he said "Meet other twins." I felt dumb for asking.
