Each year, Dogsbody Technology donates a portion of our profits to support worthy causes. Once again, we invited our team to choose the charities that matter most to them, and we’re proud to champion their selected causes.
This year our team chose Bingo for our Christmas do. Dabbers at the ready, we headed to Bingo Godz in Farnborough for a fantastic night, followed by a local games arcade and the classic Christmas tradition — curry. Huge thanks to our employees, customers, and suppliers for a fabulous 2025. 🎄✨

We are seeing more and more cases of AI hiding themselves in order to crawl websites. A lot of them now ignore robots.txt & we have had to implement rate limiting for a high number of customers in the last few months due to this.
Perplexity is using stealth, undeclared crawlers to evade website no-crawl directives
Perplexity is repeatedly modifying their user agent and changing IPs and ASNs to hide their crawling activity, in direct conflict with explicit no-crawl preferences expressed by websites.

We had fun testing AI voices and ruled out Klingon, R2D2, and the Teletubbies (“Uh-oh! Your server gone bye-bye!”). But the boss wants something “professional” and “understood.” 🤷

Should anyone need this knowledge; if you need to run a difficult cable in your house or some ductwork then The National Ferret School (yes it exists) will rent you a ferret that's been trained for exactly this use! Watch the video of them in action on their website.
