Mainly modern since a prime example would be JJK or Demon Slayer both getting (yet again) meh anime arena fighters.

Like imagine if they received a proper fighting game, or a hack n slash or something that wasn’t just another CyberConnect2 job that feels like a rehash from Ultimate Ninja Storm.

Ya know, the more I think about it…🤔

Besides Dragonball & One Piece, “anime games” high key kind of lack creativity.

It’s ALMOST always a anime arena fighters based on the IP + poorly balanced or gacha. I feel more could be done if given to devs that cared and/or wanted to experiment.
