Chloe Zhao's HAMNET is a gorgeous, haunting, harrowing exploration of unspeakable grief and how it can lead to unparalleled art. Jessie Buckley gives a luminous, unforgettable central performance. My review at @moviefone.bsky.social: www.moviefone.com/news/movie-r...
Movie Review: ‘Hamnet’
Despite a truncated third act, Jessie Buckley gives a devastating portrait of grief as the wife of William Shakespeare in Chloe Zhao’s ‘Hamnet.’

I really wish some mystery bidder would swoop in and buy WBD, because I don't want Larry Ellison and Bari Weiss in charge of CBS News and CNN. That would be a disaster for the free press in this country.

James Cameron pushes the boundaries of filmmaking again in #AvatarFireAndAsh. The visuals are unbelievable and the performances heartfelt (Oona Chaplin steals the show) but the story and characters run in place. It's a ton of movie, entertaining but ultimately unsatisfying.

Every single congressional Democrat needs to be out there, right now, insisting that Pete Hegseth resign right now and announcing that he will be held accountable for committing war crimes.

If you do not demand accountability here and now, they will only become more emboldened.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

Finally caught up with Jafar Panahi's excellent THIS IS NOT AN ACCIDENT. The lingering effects of brutal authoritarianism and the ethics of revenge burn hot in this low-key thriller, which has its moments of brilliant absurdity as well. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nF04...

Poignant, heartbreaking, and transcendent, #TrainDreams on Netflix is one of the year's best films. Joel Edgerton gives a performance for the ages in a deeply moving, visually stunning meditation on life, love, loss, nature and our complicated relationship with them all.

He betrayed his oath as a doctor and voluntarily supported a man whose insane policies will kill children, all for the sake of power, MAGA, and politics.

I hope he is shamed for life.

Every Republican piece of shit who did not speak out against this insane "president" today and his desire to execute members of Congress has no business being in government. History will shame them.

Attending the #Avatar event tonight with my daughter was special. She loved the #FireAndWater doc and the Q&A with James Cameron and the cast. The exhibit was a blast as well. My budding filmmaker got a look at how world class filmmaking is done.

We may not be sure how sorry to feel for him, but Noah Baumbach's JAY KELLY manages to evoke poignancy and empathy out of an actor looking back on his life. Fantastic, career-best work from George Clooney and Adam Sandler, with an exquisite score behind them. #JayKelly #Netflix

When this nightmare is over (hopefully before the country collapses completely), everyone who enabled this, from the highest official to the lowest-info voter, must be held accountable. No forgiveness. No "understanding." No forgetting. They knew exactly what they were doing.
